The Lyre bird was very interesting to say the least. It was amazing how it could mimic any sound it heard. The fact that it had begun to imitate car alarms and chain saws was however a bit unsettling. These birds aren’t relying on natural noises. The car alarm was matched pretty well though it was just as annoying as the real thing. Honestly this bird would be awful to have living around my house and, it would most likely be killed within a week. I see to have digressed from my main point however the bird can imitate things it shouldn’t be able too. This shows that our forests are shrinking and animals are being forced into more populated areas.

This post contains some of the darker aspects of modern media. Everyday we are bombarded with images that show “perfection”. This has a troubling effect on a lot of women and men. It often creates an idea of beauty that is unobtainable my almost everyone. It even makes some people go to outrageous feats to try to look like the models on tv. The modern image of beauty has led to eating disorders and depression in many women. Men have no gotten away from the modern image ether. Many feel if that they are ether to fat or too skinny. The modern image isn’t a good thing and, very little can be sayed about its positive affects. Besides creating the goal of making people want to improve themselves there are not many other positive things. improving yourself and destroying yourself have a very fine line in the end.http://www.media-awareness.ca/english/issues/stereotyping/women_and_girls/women_beauty.cfm

This pentacle is one of the many symbols ancient celtic witches. These withes were very different then the Salem witches we have learned about. Although they both reportedly used magic that is about were the similarities end. The Salem “witches” were to have supposedly made compacts with the devil and written in his book. Satan was were they were supposed to have gotten their powers. The Celts had a slightly different view on “witches” they had a more natural belief about them. To them magic was just another part of life to not be feared but more understood. They believed magic came from nature and was often used to better achieve spiritual enlightenment. These “witches” didn’t have to be evil just spiritual. These kinds of “witches” exist today in the form of Wicca. Often found in Ireland, Scotland and, Whales.

I have had my trial before Salem and I have seen the result. I didn’t confess to witchcraft and the whole time I was hoping they would find me innocent. And at first they did and, I felt very successful for a few moments. Until they came back with the new verdict of guilty. I couldn’t help but feel defeated at this. I was hanged and my death was described to me slow and horrible. Now I must wonder would I do it differently if I was actually in that position? I would like to say I wouldn’t confess that I upheld the truth until my dying breath. To at least have some honor in my death. I wish I could say that for sure. However, I know that in the midst of the questioning and torture very few would be able to keep from confessing. So would I do it differently if I was actually put in this position? I have no way of knowing all I could possibly hope for is that I did remain truthful until the end.

Well I completed the sorting people assignment or, maybe I should say Mrs. Roper’s way of making us all feel very racist. Out of twenty people I only was correct with only half of their ethnicity s. This surprises me however it does show that you can’t always tell what ethnicity someone is with just looking. If you’re looking for some kind of great revelation on this blog guess what you’re gonna be disappointed. I’ve always tried to not judge someone by how they look anyway. There’s  not much else to say about this other then I’m pretty disappointed that our government judged what ethnicity thousands of people were just by looking at them. *sigh* I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again people make me sad.

Well, honesly i’ve never blogged before. So I can’t say i’m dreading because i’ve never done it before. However i’m pretty lazy, but i love to write so it should be interesting to see how this turns out. My directions tell me to make a prediction so i guess i’ll do that. I predict i’m going to be posting blogs about whatever subjects i’m given. Shocking yes i know but, i’m just full of suprises. Who knows I may even be posting blogs about things i’m not even required to do. Won’t that be exceiting for everyone to read. If you think you are detecting sarcasm in this you’re probably right. I am a sarcastic person and it just comes naturally. Well i guess that’s all for this one happy face 😀
